Hi! I am so glad that you are here! My name is Olivia Johnson and I am the Lead Organizer for Meat & Potatoes Organizing in Fargo, ND! YES, that’s right, M&P services Fargo/Moorhead alongside the Twin Cities. We are currently a team of three, consisting of myself, Abby Stauffenecker, and Becca Lynnes.
A little about myself and why I love to organize…
I am a junior at NDSU and in my free time I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and hanging with friends and family. Organizing, decluttering, and cleaning are also some of my passions. I love being able to look at a space and seeing how I can make it better and more functional for my clients. Transforming a space can be a truly life changing journey, and I am happy to be there through every step of the way.
I have done countless projects in the Fargo area, all with a variety of different needs. That is what I am here for, to cater to YOU and your family’s specific needs. My most memorable project to date so far has been doing a home for a family of six. This family needed each room in their house to be decluttered and set up more functionally so that their children were able to access things more easily. Within each room, there were smaller goals that we wanted to achieve because with every space comes its own set of challenges.
Abby and I started off by tackling the craft room which was a very tedious process. All of the kids are very crafty, so making all supplies necessary to create a masterpiece be accessible, was a very important goal of ours. It ended up being a space full of lots of color and lots and lots and LOTS of bins. (Which I will never complain about!)
We then moved on to the utility room. This is a room that is often overlooked but is so important to utilize. This was by far the biggest transformation in their home because of the amount of product we brought in. Two 10 foot high shelves were brought in and installed along with many plastic totes. In the end, we created zones of toys that were easy to access as well as be put away for kids of all ages, complete with labels and all.
The next major space we tackled was the pantry. This proved to be a bigger challenge than we had anticipated! Mainly because all the products we had purchased did not fit like we had hoped, so off we went shopping again! This was more than okay to me because at the end of the day, the space needs to be functional. Pantries can be beautiful spaces but creating the right flow for the family is what’s most important. We luckily found the most perfect and beautiful bins that were the right style and fit for their family. Then, we used the classic steps we use here at M&P to declutter, categorize, and reorganize everything in that pantry. The family was ecstatic about the final product, and Abby and I could not have been more happy about it. At the end of the day, we were proud to have made each space in this family’s home more accessible and practical for their lifestyle.
I hope that you have learned a little about me, my passions, and why I love to organize. I am so excited to help you in whatever organizing journey you are ready to go on, and am ready to create the perfect space for you and your family!
